Whether you're big on charging into battle or you prefer to play more passively, there's no denying the money making prospects within Combat. For combat money making in RS3, the profit can be somewhat higher than that of other skills, which is why so many players take an interest. So, if you're eager to learn how you can make money in-game while you carry your Combat skill to 99, keep reading!

Best Money Making RS3 Combat Methods

Finding the best methods of generating a profit in RS3 can take some time, but don't wait too long; those rewards won't go out and earn themselves. With Combat, you can earn some decent gold, even as a low-level player, and continue to do so and build your bank as you climb through the levels. By default, the most profitable ways of earning money with Combat is through defeating bosses with high-value drops. So, let's see what the most popular methods are!!

Zamorak, Lord Of Chaos

The first boss you will face is, actually, a god. Zamorak is the final boss of the Zamorakian Undercity. First, he was a mortal Mahjarrat from the hazardous plane of Freneskae. With time, he climbed the ranks of the Zarosian Empire until he reached the highest one as a general before he dethroned Zaros using the Staff of Armadyl, which made him ascend into godhood. To be able to use him as a Combat money making in RS3 method, it’s essential you can access the teleport in Treasure Chest (required to clear The Zamorakian Undercity in Normal or Hard Mode) by completing the Conqueror of Chaos achievements. Moreover, you will need to meet these requirements before jumping into the method:

  • 90 Attack
  • 90 Ranged
  • 90 Magic
  • 90 Necromancy
  • 90 Defense
  • 96 Summoning for Binding Contract with Ripper Demons
  • 106 Herblore recommended
  • 95 Prayer
  • 89 Invention recommended
  • Tier 90+ Weapon
  • Tier 90+ Armour (perked)
  • Mahjarrat Aura, Supreme Invigorate Aura or Inspiration Aura
  • Erethdor's Grimoire recommended
  • Superior Scrimshaw of Vampyrism recommended (melee)
  • Enhanced Excalibur recommended
  • Spirit Shield recommended
  • Infernal Puzzle Box
  • Blessed Flask recommended
  • 2 Elder Overload Potion (6)
  • 5 Extreme Prayer (4)
  • 4 Adrenaline Renewal Potions
  • 60 Vulnerability bomb
  • 14 Blue blubber jellyfish
  • 14 Saradomin brew flask (6)
  • 1 Binding contract (Kal'gerion Demon)
  • 60 Kal'gerion Demon scroll (Crit-i-Kal)
  • 3,000 Fire Rune
  • 3,000 Water Rune
  • 2,500 Blood Rune
  • 600 Soul Rune
  • 2 Torn Grimoire Pages
  • 2 Powder of Penance
  • 3,500,000 Coins

Although it’s a long list, it’s important to make the proper investment before fighting against Zamorak. Another thing you must understand is the enraged system in Hard Mode, with the higher cap of 60,000% enrage; still, Zamorak’s hitpoints will cap, and you can safely teleport out once you defeat him to restore your supplies. Depending on your enrage level, your earnings for this Combat money making in RS3 method will be as follows:

  • 50 enrage - 18 kills - 66 million gold per hour
  • 100 enrage - 14 kills - 97 million gold per hour
  • 300 enrage - 10 kills - 91 million gold per hour
  • 500 enrage - 8 kills - 98 million gold per hour
  • 2000 enrage - 6 kills - 191 million gold per hour

Some enrage levels are not recommended for farming because of the drop in your earnings, but we recommend maintaining the pace with 100, 500, and 2000 enrage levels. Likewise, depending on the drops you obtain, you can expect your earnings to be slightly increased or decreased, but usually they’ll land right around above numbers. You can expect to have some drops like this:

  • Bow of the Last Guardian
  • Vestments of Havoc set
  • Chaos Roar Ability Codex
  • Codex of Lost Knowledge
  • Small Plated Orikalkum Salvage
  • Huge Bladed Rune Salvage
  • Uncut Onyx
  • Chaos Relic (rare)

Nex: Angel of Death

The successor of the original Nex boss fight, you can enter her arena using the hidden door on the southern wall of the original Nex’s lobby area. It requires a Frozen key, and either 40 Zarosian kills or a set of Ancient Ceremonial Robes to enter. However, when you complete the Gielinor’s Most Expensive Doorstop achievement, you won’t need to meet these requirements. As with most Combat money-making RS3 methods, you will have better rewards by battling in a group. Although you can enter this fight alone or in a duo, we recommend you build a four to seven man group to obtain better rates. Here are all the requirements you need to meet to fight Nex:

  • 90 Attack, 90 Ranged, 90 Magic, or 90 Necromancy recommended
  • 96 Summoning for Binding Contract (Ripper Demon)
  • 106 Herblore recommended
  • 95 Prayer
  • 89 Invention recommended
  • T90+ Armour (perked)
  • T90+ Weapon (perked)
  • Maniacal or Berserker Aura recommended
  • Erethdor's Grimoire recommended
  • Enhanced Excalibur recommended
  • Tier 90+ Shield
  • Planted Feet Switch with Aftershock 1 recommended
  • Ring of Vigor
  • Elder Overload Salve (6)
  • 12 Super restore Flask (6)
  • 2 Torn Grimoire Page
  • 12 Summoning Flask (6)
  • 1 Binding Contract (Ripper Demon)
  • 300 Ripper Demon scroll (Death From Above)
  • 150 Blue Blubber Jellyfish
  • 40 Guthix Rest Flask (6)
  • 4 Adrenaline Renewal Potion (4)
  • 40 Vis Wax
  • 500,000 Coins

With everything ready, it’s time to choose how many people you will begin this Combat money making RS3 method with. You can defeat him as follows:

  • Solo - 2 kills per hour - 49 million gold
  • Duo - 6 kills per hour - 76 million gold
  • 4 man - 16 kills per hour - 107 million gold
  • 7 man - 22 kills per hour - 91 million gold

Killing Nex in a four man group is the optimal spot since each of you can share the drops and earn the most from this boss fight. You can expect some high-value drops like Wand of the Praesul, Imperium Core, or Praesul Codex, which will bring a significant profit.
