Let’s start with Vibrant Energy, a type of energy related to the Divination skill, which you can collect from Vibrant Wisps north of the Warforge Dig Site. This Vibrant Energy is in high demand, so you can expect to make a real profit from selling them on the Grand Exchange. However, before beginning with the RS3 AFK money making method, you need to meet the following requirements:
- 60 Divination
- Divine Conversion Relic - 85 Divination, 98 Archaeology, and 86 Invention
- Enrichment Aura
- Muspah Familiar
- Elder Divination Outfit
- Divination Cape

The combination of Dark Animica, Light Animica, and Rune Bars is essential to process the bars and obtain your profit. Likewise, you can use the Orthen Furnace Core to smelt the bars, but you will achieve better rates using the Superheat Spell. On average, you can expect to produce 3,164 Elder Rune Bars per hour using the Superheat Spell. Still, you can achieve decent rates with the Orthen Furnace Core. Your earnings will be around 8 to 9 million gold per hour.
RS3 F2P AFK Money Making
We have some tips and tricks for every player, so if you are F2P, you can still enjoy the similar benefits P2P players are entitled to. Since F2P players have limited access to certain areas and materials, it’s harder to find an RS3 AFK money making method that is worth your time, but we have something for you.
Smelting Rune Bars
Smithing is a fantastic skill for AFK money making, and it even has an option for F2P. Rune Bars are a core part of another smelting process like Elder Rune Bars, which is a Member-only option. Still, you can make a profit by smelting Rune Bars, but first, you need to meet the following requirements:
- 50 Smithing (57 Smithing recommended)
- 91 Prayer recommended for Superheat Form
- 102 Archaeology and 99 Smithing (strongly recommended for the Orthen Furnace Core)
- Smelting Gauntlets (interchangeable with blacksmith's gloves if both are owned)
- Modified Blacksmith's Helmet recommended
- Blacksmith's Outfit recommended
- Augmented Crystal hammer (with the Prosper and Fortune 3 perks) recommended
- Orthen Furnace Core recommended
- Modified blacksmith's helmet recommended
- If you cannot use the Orthen Furnace Core, use these items instead:
- Grace of the elves
- Ancient Elven Ritual Shard
- Super Prayer Renewal Potion
- Completion of Family Crest for smelting gauntlets, Plague's End for crystal hammer, and The Light Within for Superheat Form
- Completion of Hard Varrock achievements and Hard New Varrock achievements (recommended)
- 2,000 Runite Ore
- 2,000 Luminite
Although this RS3 AFK money making method requires a minimum level of 50 Runecrafting, we recommend you use it when you are level 57 for the extra 10% chance of doubling a bar without using any resources while smelting. It will take you 52 seconds to fill up the entire inventory, which is translated into about 2,000 Rune Bars per hour, and with the extra change, you will obtain about 2,200 bars. Profit-wise, if you start with Runecrafting level 50, you only get about 1.8 million gold per hour, but with level 57, your profit will be roughly 3.1 million gold.
